What it is
A shared-capabilities partner for independent youth sports clubs. The club keeps its mission, its culture and its coaching; LnUP supplies what a single club can't justify building alone: purchasing, brand partnerships, payments, admin systems, technology, vendor relationships and specialized expertise. Nathan Holm coached basketball at the college and prep level, was an executive at an interactive marketing start-up, then went inside a national nonprofit sports organization as a vice president, where he rebuilt the business model and launched travel clubs and programs across the country. Every Wednesday he writes The LnUP Letters for the leaders building what comes next in youth sports.
Why it earns the pick
The club already knows how to coach. What it doesn't have is everything around the coaching: the structure, the systems, the purchasing power, the partnerships, the person who never gets to leave. Nathan is building that back office for the clubs that don't want to become a franchise to get it.
